Hunor Tőkés, a journalist previously at Transindex.ro, a minority media outlet operating in Transylvania, spent three weeks at the Telex.hu newsroom in Budapest as part of the NewsSpectrum fellowship. The focus of his fellowship at Telex.hu was on community-building and interaction with audience on social media, content publishing skills, communication and engagement techniques, and exploring successful models for community funding that Telex.hu has developed.
He also got extensive insight into the operation of a large newsroom and learned about the structure of the Telex.hu editorial team, their workflow, structured customer service system, and data-driven newsroom management.
The fellowship with Telex.hu in November 2021 also included reporting. During his stay in Budapest, Hunor wrote several articles published by Telex.hu (all listed below).
