NewsSpectrum Fellow Marie Buhl, a reporter from Flensborg Avis, a Danish-language daily published in Flensburg, Germany, spent two weeks at Berlingske Media in Copenhagen.
The intense two-week fellowship programme saw Marie team up each day with a different media professional from the Berlingske newsroom – digital editors, visual creators, podcasters, and journalists covering different sectors.
Besides acquiring new digital skills to help the Flensborg Avis team improve their digital presence (including skills related to news design and user experience), during her fellowship Marie reported on local issues in Copenhagen, such as a controversial candidate for the Copenhagen City Council, expensive repairing of Copenhagen sport facilities, and a labor shortage in the Danish capital region (all stories listed below).
